Just been directed to your site by an old friend. When Jimmy moved his family back to Scotland, he bought the house next door to us in Paisley. I was mid teens and learning to play drums. Most neighbours would have hated me, Jimmy encouraged me and even popped through now and again with his base for a quick jam.

He also started me off on a student career of roadie-ing and that has partly shaped my real work in the last 20 years.

They were great neighbours and lovely people and I have many memories of working for Jimmy at places like the Burns Howff and indeed some Saturday night jams with a real legend.

Great days.

Jonathan
